Paris, the City of Love, is known for its history and art, but it's also home to some of the most iconic streets in the world. From the Champs-Élysées to the Rue de Rivoli, here are some of our favorite Paris areas that you should definitely check out while you're here.
The Champs-Élysées is one of the most famous streets in Paris, and can be seen from almost any point in the city. It was built in 1808 as a place for monarchs to parade and for dignitaries to ride horses across. Today it's still used for many of these purposes, but it's also home to some amazing shops like Louis Vuitton and Hermes.
The Rue de Rivoli also makes an appearance on this list because it's one of our favorites! It was built by Napoleon III and named after a street in Italy where he once lived (itself named after a town near Venice). At its center is a fountain called La Fontaine de Mars that was built by architect Jean Chalgrin in 1806—it's still one of the most beautiful fountains we've ever seen.
